The input of Bedford citizens is critical to the 2045 Comprehensive Plan. Thanks to community surveys and public events, Bedford residents have helped shape the vision, goals, and priorities that will guide our community’s future.

The Draft 2045 Comprehensive Plan is now available for public review. The draft reflects extensive input from earlier engagement efforts, planning studies, and local trends, and includes recommendations across key topics such as housing, the economy, infrastructure, transportation, and community services. We encourage you to review the draft plan and share your feedback using the comment form below (referencing page numbers or sections when possible is especially helpful).
 

The Town hosted a public meeting to review the draft plan and gather community input on Thursday, February 19 at the Town Municipal Building Council Room (215 E. Main Street). The evening began with a brief overview of the draft plan, followed by opportunities to ask questions and share feedback.

Earlier in the process, the consultant team presented major components of the plan at the July 2, 2025 Planning Commission meeting, and community members provided additional input at an in-person engagement event on August 27, 2025.
